Although many people visit the area for its great walks they also visit for many other reasons.
Rutland water is nearby with its fine fishing and bird watching, there is also more excellent fishing and bird watching at nearby Eyebrook reservoir.
This part of Leicestershire with its quiet roads and peaceful villages is ideal for cycling whether onroad or off on the many tracks in the area.
